HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Great Northern Fair Board met with members of the public to find out what they felt were important improvements that should be made to the Fair and it’s grounds. Chairman Tyler Smith says they heard several good ideas and a few of them will be implemented for the fair this year.
“Better signage on the fairgrounds was an excellent idea that we heard. Air conditioning in the Community Center. A handicap shuttle to get handicapped people a ride from, you know, the parking lot to wherever they were going.”
They have set all the events for the fair this year and Smith says they will have a grandstand pass that will get you admission to all of the events for a discounted price.
“Wednesday will be the Junior Rodeo. Thursday will be the Open Rodeo. Friday will be Four Colors Memorial Bull Ride. Saturday, Demo Derby with Bump ‘N Run Races. Sunday will the the Indian Relay Races with the State Line Drive Band.”
Smith says that they are looking for a manager again, as the individual they were interviewing withdrew her application due to personal reasons. The Board is expecting to receive funding at the end of this year from the county mill levy that passed last fall.
