Havre, MT – The Great Ram Rodeo takes place this Thursday and Friday at the great northern fair.
NMB spoke with Doug Kellenberger, of the Northern Rodeo Association (NRA) and Head coach of the Montana State University-Northern Rodeo programs, about what fair goers can expect to see.
“we’re producing an NRA rodeo,” Kellenburger said, “and that will have anywhere from NFR qualifiers to your local people who go to the weekend rodeo here and there.”
Kellenberger also explain the new event that will be held at this year’s GNF Ram Rodeo.
“One thing we did add new to it this year is Ranch Bronc Riding, which is not sanctioned by the assosiation,” Kellenberger said then continued to explain why they added the unsanctioned event.
“There is a lot of locals and ranch bronc riding is taking off and seeing more and more contestants, so we added that.”
The Great Northern Ram Rodeo is at 7p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, Tickets are 15.00 dollars, ages 10 and under are free.
