HARDIN, Mont. (NMB) – A 70-year-old Hardin man was killed when his vehicle was struck by a train on Sunday evening.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the crash occured at 6:42 PM on Big Horn County Road 160B, when a northbound 2014 Chevy Silverado was struck by a train when attempting to cross the tracks.
The driver, who has not been publicly identified, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
The gravel road was dry at the time of the crash. Drugs, alcohol or excessive speed are not suspected as contributing factors.
