HARLEM, Mont. (NMB) – Harlem High School is marking its 100th anniversary with a three day long All-Class Reunion on Labor Day weekend.
The reunion runs from Friday morning through Sunday evening, and features a variety of events, including a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, banquet, brewfest, parade and trap shoot.
Kelly Rasmussen, organizer of the reunion, says they are expecting over 300 people at some of the events, and being an alumni is not a requirement to attend.
“We want everybody to come because a school is a community, and we think that it’s a community celebration,” Rasmussen says. “It didn’t matter if you graduated from Harlem, if you attended Harlem school at one time or another, you’re more than welcome to come and enjoy the celebration.”
Rasmussen says the event she is most looking forward to is the banquet on Saturday night, which will feature a style show and comedians.
“We have lots and lots of memorabilia and stuff and a lot of our high school kids will be modeling the clothes,” Rasmussen says. “Then we have two comedians speaking that night, which both are alumni in Harlem.”
The pre-registration fee of $100 gets you into all of the paid events, but Rasmussen says you can also pay at the door for individual events if you’d prefer.
