HARLEM, Mont. (NMB) – In a press release on Monday, Blaine County Sheriff John Colby announced that a teacher at Harlem High School has been arrested on suspicion of several sexual crimes against children.
Jack G. Young was arrested on Friday evening and is facing pending charges of Sexual Intercourse Without Consent, Sexual Assault, Sexual Abuse of Children, and Indecent Exposure.
A search warrant was executed at his residence by the FBI, the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office, and the Montana Department of Criminal Investigations.
According to the release, the investigation, which remains ongoing, was initiated after Blaine County Deputies were made aware of a sexual assault complaint on a minor on April 13th. The minor alleged that a sexual relationship had begun and progressed in the Harlem High School with Young.
Charges are expected to be filed later this week in Montana District Court.
Young is in custody at the Valley County Detention Center.
A request for comment to Harlem Public Schools was not immediately responded to.
