Harlem Women Killed in ATV Crash Identified

HARLEM, Mont. (NMB) – The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the woman killed in an ATV crash near Harlem on New Year’s Day.

30-year-old Leah Fox of Harlem was killed when a speeding all-terrain vehicle hit a patch of ice while turning a corner near Harlem.

The Associated Press previously reported that the driver overcorrected, causing the ATV to roll, throwing the man and the woman from the vehicle just after 4 AM on January 1.

The driver, who has not been named by authorities, was arrested, according to Fort Belknap Chief Acting Administrative Officer Delina Cuts The Rope.

There was also a shooting that same morning in Lodge Pole. FBI Public Affairs Specialist Sandra Barker says that two people were injured and the shooter was arrested, but declined to give more details.

The FBI is leading the investigations into both the shooting and the fatal crash.
