HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Beneath the Streets’ is Roaring 20s Underground Fundraiser at the Havre Eagles Club Saturday, April 25 from 6-9 p.m. is still on as scheduled.
Office Manager Christy Owens says the fundraiser will go toward repairing the sidewalk, which is causing grave accessibility issues and requiring them to move displays.
“At this time, we have moved out our displays out of that area. So, we are unable to use that area underneath the sidewalk. We still talk about that area, but you just don’t get the visual effect of being underneath the sidewalk. Also, at this time our chairlift access is on that entry area but because we cannot access that we’re unable to get folks down the stairs that have handicap issues.”
Owens says the project will cost over $200,000 and they hope this fundraiser will help them make a dent.
The event will include a prime rib and prawn dinner, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing and various games.
