(Havre) – The Havre City Counsel meet on Tuesday September 5th for their regularly scheduled meeting where they approved several items on the agenda.
The council approved the first reading of an ordinance which will amend the city codes stance on which signs will not need a permit. A resolution to charge landowners a special tax for failure to to pay a reasonable charge for nuisance weed control on their property was also approved.
The council also approved of a resolution to authorize submission of an application for the Montana Coal Endowment Program which will provide financial assistance for a CIP, as well as approving a request by the Havre Eagles club to close 2nd Avenue from 1st street to the Alley entrance from September 15th through 16th for Festival Days.
