HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Over a dozen veterans will be receiving gifts thanks to the Havre Elks Lodge’s Veteran’s Giving Tree this year.
Lodge Secretary Brandy Kurtz says they had nineteen veterans sign up and most of those gifts have been delivered.
“All those 19 veterans were sponsored by either an organization, a group, a individual, a family. So all 19 veterans were sponsored. As of right now, 14of 19 gifts already have been taken.”
The program provides veterans with gifts of items they need. Last month, Kurtz had more people willing to donate than they had veteran’s signed up.
