(Havre) The Havre Food Bank recently received another donation from the Mountain View Co-op in the amount of $2,500 dollars continuing the co-ops pattern of donating to the food bank in Havre annually.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Havre Food Bank Manager Chris Clark-Holmes, who says the money will help amid changes to their operation.
“So that money is going to help us operationally get more food. We are actually in the process of changing the way that the food is handed out. We’re going to move from a “you get a box” process to where the clients are actually going to be able to come through and shop for their own goods”
Clark-Holmes says that this change is an effort to become more inclusive and maintain the dignity of those using the facility.
