Havre, MT – Havre High Boys and Girls basketball head to East Helena Saturday December 6, to open their season.
Blue Ponie girls’ basketball senior, Amaya Jarvis, says her and her team are excited to finally hit the court.
“I think we’re all pretty excited to get going and start the season, we’ve been practicing pretty hard, so we are excited to get a game in.
On the boy’s side, East Helena defeated the Blue Ponies to keep them from making state last season, and Havre senior Dax Oswalt says they’re entering Saturday’s game with a chip on their shoulder.
“Yeah, just knowing that they knocked us out last year we definitely have a chip, and we’re just going to try and take it back from them.”
The Blue Ponies season opener is part of a six straight road games before playing their first home game January second.
