(Havre) Havre schools, in addition to Harlem, Chinook, Big Sandy, and Chester, received bomb threats last night.
In a press release, Havre Public Schools Superintendent Gum says they chose to start school with a delayed opening on Wednesday January 17th, in what they call an “abundance of caution” for child welfare, whereas other schools, like Big Sandy, opted to not have school for the day.
Havre schools started 2 hours late at 10am, after the facility was searched with assistance from Havre Police Department, in which no active threat to the school was found.
Acting Hill County Superintendent Jake Strissel said that schools in more rural locations did not receive bomb threats.
