(NMB) – Havre will be represented at the big sky state games staple event, the Montana mile.
Former Havre Blue Pony Caleb Tomac will represent the hi-line in the Montana mile as a first-time participant during the BSSG opening ceremony. Tomac, a 2024 graduate of Havre High, was a state champion in the class A 800m and was named to the all-state track and field team in three of his high school seasons. As a freshman and member of the at Rocky Mountin college track and field team, Tomac holds the Rocky freshman record for the 1500m.
Tomac holds the following records as a Blue Pony at Havre High:
#1 – Cross country 5K (3.1 miles)
#2 – mile
#3 – 3200m
#4 – 800m
Nike Outdoor Nationals Mile Qualifier and Competitor, placing 44th in the nation and Previous Big Sky State Games Champion in 1500m and 5K.
The Montana mile will be held on Friday July 18th at Lockwood High School Stadium, as part of the opening ceremony.
