HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Renovations at Havre’s Salvation Army Thrift Store are nearly complete and hope to reopen next month.
Director of Retail for the Northwest Division Keith Moore says they are taking donations again and ask that they be dropped off next to their back door in the alley. He says that they haven’t set a date to reopen yet, but he hopes that it will happen during the first part of May.
They have installed new flooring, painted the walls, installed new fixtures, and expanded the dressing rooms.
Salvation Army is also restructuring how they run the store, using only a few paid employees and relying more on volunteers.
“We’re looking for volunteers. People who can volunteer on a regular basis, two to four hour blocks, whatever you can volunteer. Come in the store and we can get you scheduled.”
Construction started in February, after the thrift store closed suddenly in September.
