HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Tuesday afternoon and approved a construction bid for science room renovations at Havre High School.
The board voted unanimously to approve Korb Construction’s $681,768 bid to renovate the science classrooms and conduct additional electrical work. This was the lowest of the three bid proposals they received. Korb Construction will work alongside Innovative Laboratory Services, who will be responsible for providing and installing the laboratory casework and equipment.
The total cost of the project is now expected to be just short of $1.1 million, significantly less than the $1.3 to $1.5 million that was previously projected.
Construction is expected to begin around the time that the school year ends. The estimated date of substantial completion is October 9, so classes this fall will likely have to adjust accordingly.
