HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday night.
The tentative school calendar for the next three years was presented by Superintendent Andy Carlson. Carlson said he tried to take everyone’s suggestions under consideration. The calendar must go through a 60 day waiting period before action can be taken.
Carlson gave an update on the science room renovations for the high school. He said they currently are waiting for bids to come in and is hoping for the cost to be between $1.3 and $1.5 million. Some of that money could come through a Community Development Grant through the state, which he said they should know if they are getting within the next few weeks.
The continuation of a multi-district agreement was also passed. This allows the elementary and secondary schools to use each other’s allotted funds when it is necessary.
