Havre Softball Back In Win Column

The Havre softball team played one game on Tuesday afternoon and it was back at home in the confines of Sixth Avenue Memorial Field. The opponent was the Glasgow Scotties and the Blue Ponies took it to them, winning by the final score of (10-0) in six innings.

Elle Verploegen got the start in the circle on this day and went back to her winning ways, throwing a complete game 4-hitter and striking out 13 Scotties batters.

First baseman Ainsley Courtnage and catcher Camilee Keeley each hit solo home runs, while center fielder Jersi Morse picked up two hits and two runs batted in. Right fielder Rachel Jette also knocked in multiple runners. The Blue Ponies scored in all but one inning on the day.

Havre is now (5-3) overall and will hit the road for two more games later this week: at Sidney on Friday and at Dawson County on Saturday.
