Havre Softball Stays Hot To Begin Season

The Havre softball team continued its dominant start of the season on Friday night. The team traveled down to Lewistown and beat Fergus, (14-3). The 14 runs were accompanied by 16 hits for the victors.

Catcher Camille Keeley was the star for the Blue Ponies on this day, going 5-for-5 with five runs batted in. Her productivity included one of the four home runs for Havre, which was a three-run shot in the seventh inning to put the finishing touches on an outstanding performance.

Elle Verploegen pitched another complete game, striking out five Golden Eagles and scattering three runs on seven hits.

The Havre softball game with Custer County that was supposed to happen on Saturday has been moved to Tuesday due to the weather. 1pm first pitch for JV and 3pm for varsity from Sixth Avenue Memorial Field in Havre.
