Havre Volleyball Coming Off Huge Success at Home Tournament

Over the weekend, Havre volleyball had (4-1) record during their “Havre Tip-Off Jamboree”, dropping only four sets in the process. New Media Broadcasters talked with head coach Cassie Krueger as she broke down the overall impression her team made.

“It was a great weekend,” Krueger said. “Overall, I think the girls did extremely well. There was a lot of discipline that was shown in their play.”

“We only had one loss against Bigfork and they’re an extremely tough team,” Krueger continued. “We underestimated them going out onto the court.”

“The overall weekend was fantastic for us,” Krueger said.”

The Lady Ponies volleyball team will now be on the road this week, heading to Hardin and Glendive for matches. Krueger said how she will instruct her team to get back to preparing for the traditional one match per day as opposed to the two weeks of tournaments Havre just went through.

“We’ll do specific team prep. We’ll watch film. We’ll analyze their current roster and go from there,” Krueger said. “Obviously, every new team has new players, so there will be some question marks.”

“Heading into the official season, we are very excited to gearing up for one match a day,” Krueger said.

Havre has two volleyball matches against Hardin and Dawson County back-to-back on Friday and Saturday. Both varsity matches are scheduled for 4pm.
