The Havre volleyball teams have some work to do after the results produced down in Lewistown last Friday. New Media Broadcasters spoke with head coach Cassie Krueger, who gave an update for C-squad’s effort, JV’s grit, and varsity’s woes.
“Overall, C-squad and JV had good games,” Krueger said. “C-Squad just came up a little bit short.”
“JV fought hard to come back,” Krueger continued. “They were down in the first two sets and won it in three sets after that.”
“Varsity was just a really tough loss for us,” Krueger said. “We’re going to have to go into this week and evaluate some things as far as rotations and what we’re going to do moving forward.”
The varsity Ponies will rest up after having cheered on JV and C-Squad from Chinook at the beginning of this week. Meanwhile, Krueger said she is looking forward to preparing for Dawson County. The opponent will be in for a Havre spirit rush as the Blue Ponies will be celebrating the end of homecoming weekend.
“I think it’s a really great experience, homecoming and celebrating the high school’s traditions,” Krueger said as she coaches in her second homecoming match for the Blue Ponies. “The community is so fantastic and the fans are amazing.”
“They always show up and show out for us,” Krueger continued. “I’m really looking forward to that being our main focus this week.”
For the first time since the beginning of this month, catch the Havre volleyball teams at the Blue Pony Corral on Saturday with C-Squad starting at 1pm, followed by JV around 2:30pm and varsity around 4pm.
