Havre’s Lead Service Line Replacement Project Complete

(NMB) The City of Havre’s Lead Service Line replacement project that started early this summer is now complete. The U.S Environmental Protection Agency has a nationwide goal to remove 100 percent of lead-material service lines within community water systems. Havre was the first municipality in the State to utilize State Revolving Fund Lead Service funding to remove LSL’s from Havre’s public water supply and initiate a full community LSL replacement project.

In Havre, 94 known lead service lines have been successfully replaced and 64 vverified to meet EPA and DEQ requirements for the upcoming 2027 final inventory.

While the lead service line replacement project is complete, the Highland Park water main replacement is still ongoing but according to City officials, it is in the process of wrapping up.
