(Hill County) The Hill County Department of Health is looking for a new sanitarian following the departure of their previous sanitarian last week.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Hill County Health Officer Kim Berg, who gave some details on how they’ll be operating while trying to find a replacement.
“We’re looking into reaching out and seeing if there’s any contract sanitarians around the state who would like to do at least some inspections for us, not necessarily the whole position. We have over 100 licenses establishments in Hill County so it takes a long time to do those inspections”
Berg says Health Department employees are checking the sanitarian phone message box several times a day, but that inspections may be delayed due to the vacancy of the position.
