HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – There are a number of county positions up for election this year on the Hi-Line, and the races for these spots are beginning to take shape.
For Blaine County, the positions that will be on the ballot are Clerk of District Court and District 1 Commissioner. Democrat Jim Doyle is the only person to file for Clerk of District Court, a position now held by Democrat Tammy Mitchell. Incumbent Democrat Dolores Plumage is the only person to file for District 1 Commissioner.
For Liberty County, incumbent Democrats are the only candidates to file for the two positions up for election. Anne Seidlipz-Melton has filed for Clerk of District Court, while Maureen Wicks has filed for District 1 Commissioner.
For Phillips County, incumbent Republicans are the only candidates to file for positions up for election. Richard Dunbar has filed for District C County Commissioner, while Tammy Christofferson has filed for Clerk of Court.
And in Hill County, the only candidate to file in the past week was for the position of Public Administrator, where Democrat Maggie Big Leggins has filed for re-election.
The deadline to file for the 2020 Election is March 9.
