HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Police Department has announced the arrest of two 18-year-old males after they led officers on a high-speed chase on Sunday night.
Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich says that at 10 PM on Sunday night, officers attempted to stop a 1985 Chevy Camaro at the 200 block of 12th Avenue for reckless driving. The vehicle had entered Havre from the east and was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed.
The driver failed to stop, and officers continued to pursue the vehicle until it crashed into an unattended and parked Chevy pickup in the 900 block of 4th Avenue.
The driver and a 21-year-old female passenger from Box Elder were immediately detained. The third passenger fled the scene before later being located and arrested in the 1600 block of 1st Street. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
Jaden James Blacktongue, an 18-year-old male from Great Falls, was arrested on charges of driving without a valid license, reckless driving, traveling the wrong way down a one way, speeding, failing to stop at stop signs, four counts of felony criminal endangerment, obstructing a Peace Officer, possession of an intoxicant by a minor, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, City Court Warrant of arrest and having an open container.
Jaylen Crazyboy, also an 18-year old male from Great Falls, was arrested on charges of two counts of obstructing a Peace Officer, criminal trespass to property, violation of District Court Conditions of release, possession of intoxicant by a minor and for having an open container.
Both Blacktongue and Crazyboy are being held in the Hill County Detention Center without bond pending formal charges.
No further information on the 21-year-old female from Box Elder has been released.
