
HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Hill and Blaine Counties have both provided their weekly COVID-19 case updates.
Between May 24th and May 31st, Hill County reported 36 new COVID-19 cases, some of which are now classified as recovered.
As of Tuesday night, Hill County had 24 active cases of the virus and one active hospitalization.
For Blaine County, Between May 26th and May 31st, 17 new COVID-19 cases and 44 recoveries were reported. The active case count is at 15, with no hospitalizations.
Local health officials urge people to continue to be vigilant and take precautions such as staying home when sick, washing your hands and covering coughs and sneezes.
Blaine County has free COVID-19 at home test kits at their office in Chinook (Monday-Friday, 8-noon and 1-5 PM), as well as at the Harlem Public Library (Monday 11-7, Tuesday and Friday 9-2, Wednesday and Thursday 12-6).
Fort Belknap Health officials continue to encourage people to wear masks indoors and in crowded areas, especially for those at high risk or immunocompromised. Free drive-thru testing is available Wednesday and Friday at the Agency Casino parking lot (10-2), and Thursday at the Hays Clinic (10-2).
