(Havre) The City of Havre is working with Hill County to create a new dumping station near the waste-water plant.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Commissioner Mark Peterson for the reasoning behind the new development.
“Basically, what we’re looking at is working with the city to set up a location so that the individuals that are pumping septic tanks can dump it in a non-residential area”
Peterson says they’d received complaints from the public about the dumping being too close to their home. The new site would be of no expense to the county or city according to Peterson, as the process wouldn’t be anything intensive.
