
HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Hill County has been chosen to receive an award of $4,527 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs.
The selection was made by a national board chaired by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which was charged with distributing funds appropriated by Congress to help expand the capacity of food and shelter programs in high need areas.
The Hill County FEMA Board will determine how the funds are distributed among local service organizations in the area.
Interested organizations must send a letter stating the amount of funds requested and their intended use to Alma Garcia, District 4 HRDC, 2229 5th Avenue, Havre, MT, 59501. Letters must be postmarked by February 1st.
