Hill County Commission Approves MOU for Ambulance Reimbursement

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Commission met on Thursday morning for their weekly business meeting and unanimously approved several agenda items.

One of the items was a Memorandum of Understanding between the County and the Montana Health Network for Rudyard Volunteer Ambulance Services. The agreement runs through May of 2023 and allows the County to be reimbursed up to $36,000 per year for operating expenses.

The Commission also approved a bid on a construction project for the Detention Center to insulate and soundproof the entryway and replace a plastic window with a tempered glass window. The cost is $4,550.

The Commission did not vote on a $17,216 construction bid to repair the Detention Center roof, as it is not currently leaking and building manager Joe Smith is working on it, so Sheriff/Coroner Jamie Ross said that project could be shelved for now.
