(Havre) The Hill County Commissioners passed a motion condemning one of their own members on Thursday, December 26th.
During this meeting the two attending commissioners, Mark Peterson and Jake Strissel, approved a motion that officially censures the third commissioner, Sheri Williams.
This motion being approved means that both Strissel and Peterson are declaring in an official capacity that they no longer have confidence in Commissioner Williams to carry out her duties as a Hill County Commissioner.
To support this claim, letters signed by Hill County employees and by citizens of Hill County were read aloud during the public meeting. New Media Broadcasters contacted Sheri Williams, who declined to comment at this time.
Public comment was split, with come sharing the commissions opinion and some urging the commission to rescind the motion.
