Hill County Commissioners Meeting – 3/6/2025

(Hill County) The Hill County Commissioners met Thursday for their weekly business meeting.

The meeting started with the approval of a loan via the Intercap Loan Program for the purpose of funds for the Sheriffs Office of Hill County’s Vehicles.

Another resolution that would have Hill County abandon a piece of road in Kremlin was tabled to find more information first. The roads abandonment also had neighbor signatures from the area expressing approval of the abandonment.

The county also approved a letter of support for the Tri-Agency Drug Task Force along with a memorandum of understanding for a grant renewal.

Commissioners also passed an expenditure to replace cooling systems in the Hill County Detention Center, which Sheriff Jamie Ross said protects millions of dollars in computer and radio equipment from overheating.

The commissioners then also signed a letter in support of OpportunityLink, which facilitates the Northern Montana Transit program.
