Hill County Commissioners Meeting – 6/6/2024

(Havre) The Hill County Board of Commissioners met on June 6th for their weekly meeting.

During this meeting the commissioners declared a disaster in Hill County from the flooding that occurred in many communities last month. This merits two mills, which Mark Peterson says will come out of the road levy.

The board also decided to approve the county weapons policy, after two weeks of tabling it for further clarifications. The policy forbids weapons on county property and forbids employees from carrying weapons while on county time.

The commissioners will hold a meeting on June 14th to discuss pay for county employees. They also announced during this meeting a request for an auditor for Hill County.

The next meeting is scheduled for June 13th.
