Hill County Commissioners Meeting – 9/12/2024

(Havre) The Hill County Commissioners held their weekly business meeting on Thursday, September 12th.

The commissioners started the meeting by acknowledging the several accidental quorums they had this week during not-recorder meetings and sharing details.

Ed Hill made comment during the public comment period asking the county about Cast Voting Records, which Clerk and Recorder Lexi Dockter says that the county does not have the budget to purchase the equipment to make that possible.

The Board of Commissioners also decided that the current county employee pay matrix will stay in effect for at least one more fiscal year, noting that moves away from that matrix are being worked on.

The Commissioners approved the contract for the Sheriff’s Union Agreement which will last until the summer of 2026.

During this meeting, the commissioners also announced their request for the Natural Resource Conservation Service to assess the Beaver Creek Reservoir Dam, and their intention to join the Neighbor Work CRO.

There is no business meeting scheduled for next week as the commissioners will be out for a conference.
