(Havre) The Hill County Commissioners recently signed a letter in support of expanding the hours of operation for the Port of Wildhorse, making them the second county commission in recent memory to push for more access at the Canadian border.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Commissioner of Hill County Jake Strissel about the letter.
“We do a lot of trade with Canada, especially in Saskatchewan and Eastern Alberta for farming stuff. I know a lot of farmers go up there to buy equipment and vice versa, they come down here. Getting that border open for longer hours, I think, is a really good thing for our communities.”
