(Havre) The Hill County Commissioners will be holding a public forum on Thursday, December 19th to go over the county’s plans to install a sewer line to service Old Post Road and Meadowlark Estates residents.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Commissioner Mark Peterson who said that this was a direct result of comment from the public.
“Some local people contacted the county and were interested in getting some type of a sewer system because the septic systems out there are not functioning very well. So that’s what this has started to do.”
Peterson says that, following the forum, the County will accept letters from the affected area to hear if they’re for or against this development, with those choosing to not mail in being assumed to vote in favor.
The forum will take place at 6:30pm in the 4H Chuckwagon Building on the Great Northern Fairgrounds.
