Hill County Democrats Select New Candidate for Public Administrator

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Democratic Central Committee has selected a replacement candidate for Public Administrator.

During a meeting last week, the Committee selected Monica Garrahan to replace Maggie Big Leggins on the general election ballot.

Big Leggins, the incumbent, had announced her decision to withdraw from the race prior to the primary, but ended up defeating fellow Democrat David Brewer anyways.

Hill County Democratic Party Chairman Jacob Bachmeier says that official paperwork to make Garrahan the replacement candidate is being filed at the Hill County Courthouse this week.

There will not be any other candidates for Hill County Public Administrator on the general election ballot.

A Public Administrator handles estate issues and takes charge of an estate in certain situations and are elected to 2-year terms.
