Hill County Election Filing Continues

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Candidate filing for the 2022 Elections began last Thursday, and several offices in Hill County already have candidates as of late Wednesday morning.

Republican Diane McLean has filed for re-election to serve another six-year term representing District 2 on the Hill County Commission.

Three incumbents have filed for re-election for four-year terms as Democrats. They are Sheriff/Coroner Jamie Ross, Auditor Kathy Olson, and Treasurer/Assessor Sandy Brown.

Incumbent Justice of the Peace Audrey Barger has filed for re-election for her seat, which is non-partisan.

For Clerk and Recorder, Democrat Lexis Dixon has filed for election. She is currently a Deputy Clerk and Recorder. Current Clerk and Recorder Sue Armstrong has said she does not intend to file for re-election.

The filing period closes at 5 PM on March 14th. The primary will take place June 7th, with the General Election set for November 8th.
