HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Agents with the Hill County Extension Office are helping put on community education classes.
Extension Agent Colleen Pegar says she will be teaching several agriculture related courses.
“I’m going to do some classes on plant identification of common weeds, plant identification on the prairie, because those are going to be a little bit different. And then we’re going to be talking about plant and tree diseases that are common throughout the year. And the last one is going to be planting and caring for succulents.”
Fellow Extension Agent Kati Purkett is helping teach knife skills and how to cook eggs.
Pegar encourages anyone interested to take advantage of these programs, as well as others being put on by Havre Public Schools.
“The community ed program is great for people who want to learn something new. They’ve got exercize classes, they’ve got culinary, computer classes, life health classes. So it’s just for anybody who wants to take a little class and learn something new in the evenings and get a new lease on life.”

Pegar says they are hoping to hold other classes in 2022, and welcome recommendations from the public.
