Hill County Health Board Discusses COVID-19 Concerns

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Health Board met online on Tuesday morning to discuss the county’s response to COVID-19.

No official action was taken during the meeting, but it was decided that they would meet again on Friday at 1 PM. If Governor Bullock does not extend his order closing numerous indoor facilities, the county will issue a similar order that takes effect at midnight Saturday morning.

There was also a discussion regarding potentially closing businesses like salons and daycares, but it was decided that was not necessary at this time since there are no confirmed cases in Hill County.

Health Director Kim Larson apologized to local businesses for a lack of communication last Tuesday regarding the original order to close restaurants and bars to dine-ins.

As of Tuesday morning, there are 46 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montana, including three in Cascade County and one in Roosevelt County.
