(Havre) The Hill County Park Board met Monday, January 8th for their monthly meeting.
During the meeting, the board discussed construction plans for the new lodge being built, specifically on the issue of heating and pricing.
The board also discussed the parameters of it’s new committee, the Finance and Rules committee, which it says is to help organize, streamline and clarify. Membership of this new committee would be done via application, and the board will look to the community for applicants in the future.
The board then addressed whether or not it wanted to proceed with researching and potentially participating in a Renewable Resource Grant. The board voted against proceeding at this point in time, with those opposed citing worries that any accepted grants would come with an obligation to follow the granters regulations.
The board also announced that it is looking to the community for volunteer grant writers.
The next Park Board meeting in February 5th at 5:30pm.
