(Havre) The Hill County Park Board met for their monthly meeting in the Hill County Court House Timmons Room on Monday, March 3rd.
No progress has yet been made from the Bannack Group, who will serve as a quasi fundraising arm of the park board to assist in getting the remainder of the funds for the parks lodge project. The board reports that the group are in the process of getting started and creating pitch materials for the board to review before beginning fundraising efforts.
Cabin inspections will now take place each year, with the inspector taking photos to be submitted digitally. The park is also developing new protocols with a step-by-step process of actions to be taken if a cabin is out of compliance.
The Park Board also gave their official blessing to the Havre Chamber of Commerce to use the park for the upcoming 5th annual Bear Paw Marathon.
