(Havre) The Hill County Park Board met August 5th for their monthly meeting.
The meeting began with discussion on the Beaver Lodge in the park. it was announced that Korb Construction would be hired for the project, as well as announcing that asbestos inspection would be done before the project began.
There was some discussion surrounding the park’s cabin inspection policy, as some members of the board believed that the upkeep policy of each cabin was not being enforced well enough. The matter was tabled for now, with more discussion planned for the future.
The grazing allotments previously reported by New Media Broadcasters were approved, each producer will be allowed acreage based on the average of their last 3 years.
Park Superintendent Chad Edgar reports that park revenue is up after a “very smooth summer”.
The next meeting is scheduled for September 9th.
