(Havre) The Hill County Safety Committee met on August 27th for their monthly meeting.
Commissioner Mark Peterson announced that another handicap spot will be added to the parking lot by the Hill County Courthouse in addition to a accessibility ramp. Peterson also mentioned that they will likely need to put a handrail on that ramp as well, which means the project may be delayed until spring of 2025.
The Courthouse is also undergoing a replacement of it’s Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system, with the current finish date still tentatively set for November. Peterson says that the abatement process is coming along smoothly, but that there’s still a strong possibility that the finish date goes further into December.
