HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On the same day restrictions ordered by the Hill County Health Officer took effect limiting most social gatherings to no more than 25 people and reducing capacity to 50 percent at many establishments, the Hill County Health Department reported 20 new cases of COVID-19.
12 of the new cases were found through contact tracing, while eight have unknown exposures. The age group with the most new cases was people in their teens, with six (3 males, 3 females).
Also on Wednesday, 37 people in Hill County met the recovery criteria.
Hill County has now reported 970 total COVID-19 cases. 268 are active, including 22 hospitalizations. 679 have recovered and 23 have died.
Meanwhile in Blaine County, the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook reported a COVID-19 related death on Wednesday, their fourth.
In addition, one resident of the facility was hospitalized.
Sweet Home currently has 12 COVID-19 positive staff members and 21 COVID-19 positive residents, including the hospitalization.
The positive residents that are not hospitalized remain isolated in one area of the building, while positive staff are isolating at home. They will continue with regular screening and testing of all staff and residents.
