HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Friday after Christmas, the Havre Public Schools Education Foundation will be hosting their 14th annual Holiday Hoops Alumni Basketball Game at the Havre High School gym. Executive Director of the Foundation, Cheryl Morse says any former Havre School students are welcome to play in the games.
“The admission is a non-perishable food item and we’re proud to say that last year, we gave about 100 pounds of food to the Food Bank. Anybody that is a Havre High Alumni is welcome to sign up and play, girls and guys. They play co-ed games usually.”
Morse says that they will host a raffle that night, and the proceeds will go back to the Foundation to provide scholarships, small grants and special project funding to the local area.
“Something else we’re doing different this year is we’re going to have a small raffle. Just a couple of baskets, one is a Blue Pony memorabilia basket and then one is, like a New Year’s Eve basket. The raffle tickets will only be sold that evening and we’ll be drawing for the winner at the end of the games.”
