HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Public Schools Education Foundation has announced that they have hired Amanda Meyer as their new Executive Director.
Meyer graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, and has spent the past five years as the Chief Financial Officer for the Montana State University-Northern Alumni Foundation.
“Working for Northern was a great experience. They have been along for a really long time so they are very well established and have a lot of things that I would like to do here at the HPSEF, and be able to hopefully move forward here.
Meyer says she wants to change the public’s perception of HPSEF so people know that they do more than just provide scholarships.
“While that is definitely the biggest part of what we do, it is not the only thing that we do. We can reach out and hopefully develop a lot more of the things that can not only help students after they graduate, like scholarships, but hopefully help students while they are in school, and help the faculty, staff and administration be able to do more things that help the students while they’re here.”
Meyer is replacing Cheryl Morse, who retired from the position after over half-a-decade of service.
HPSEF is a non-profit organization formed to provides financial support for students and faculty of Havre Public Schools.
