HPSEF Receives $100,000 Endowment

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Public Schools Education Foundation has announced that Havre High School Class of 1985 graduate Wendy Johnson Nevala has donated $100,000 to start a new endowment with the foundation.

This endowment was made in memory of former Havre High Teachers Ron Kologi and Doug Hyke.

The Ron Kologi and Doug Hyke Memorial scholarship is available to female students graduating from Havre High and majoring in a science field at any accredited college or university. The scholarship will be renewable for up to four years, with the 2021 award being worth up to $2,000. The scholarship award in subsequent years will be based on endowment income.
