(Bozeman) Three fishing access sites were shut down as a result of emergency closures on Tuesday, January 16th.
The sites include Selway Park Fishing Access Site on the Beaverhead River, and Valley Garden and Ennis fishing access sites on the Madison River. These sites will be closed until further notice.
The sites were closed due to flooding. Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks say this was because of recent cold temperatures causing ice jams in rivers in the area which caused ice and debris to flow into the sites, creating unsafe conditions.
