GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking information on the poaching of a cow elk on private ranch land about eight miles west of Pishkun Reservoir along the Rocky Mountain Front.
A press release says that the elk was left on the ranch land adjacent to the state land parking area sometime on November 16th late in the day after a snow storm subsided, according to FWP game warden Rod Duty.
The poacher, Duty said, has violated two statues by abandoning the cow elk and trespassing on the ranch.
FWP is asking anyone with information on the incident to call 1-800-TIP-MONT. Callers are kept confidential and a reward is possible.
