DODSON, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 game wardens are seeking any information regarding a second mule deer buck found shot with the head removed and left to waste 25 miles south of Dodson, just off the intersection of Stage Road and Lodge Pole Road.
The most recent incident is believed to have occurred around December 4th, well after the end of the general hunting season. This comes after another headless deer was found in early November in the same area.
Anyone with information on this crime is encourage to call Warden Chase Sanderson at 263-0620, or FWP’s toll-free 24-hour wildlife tip line at 1-800-TIP-MONT. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for providing information that leads to a conviction.
