Helena, MT— This week is International Fraud Awareness Week. The Montana’s State Auditor’s Office and Commissioner of Securities and Insurance, James Brown, are protecting Montanans from fraud, scams, and abuse.
The Commissioner’s aggressive stance has resulted in significant prosecutions against insurance and securities fraud.
These prosecutions make it clear that those who target Montana’s families, retirees, or businesses will be held accountable—no exceptions. Brown’s office has issued multiple consumer alerts and taken decisive action when fraud is detected.
“Montanans know they can count on our office for protection and action. If you think you’ve been targeted by fraud, report it—our team will respond, investigate, and prosecute,” Brown emphasized.
If you suspect fraud, please contact the Montana State Auditor and Commissioner of Securities and Insurance office at 406-444-3815
